Help Shape the Future

The club has received the following request from the motor museum at Gaydon, it gives us a chance to express our views, the survey will only take a few minutes.

Help shape the future of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust's Archive

We would like to invite your members to help us develop our services.
We are the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, formed in 1983 to preserve a unique collection of historic material which originated from British Leyland, and encompasses such notable marques and companies as Austin, Morris, MG, Rover and Triumph.
We want to expand our services over the next few years and are keen to explore new ways of opening up the content of our Archive so that visitors and researchers can engage with a wide range of stories.
We would like to hear your opinions - please help us by taking part in this survey.

What is in the Archive Collection?

Most people are familiar with the extensive Vehicle Collection, now on display at the British Motor Museum.  Fewer people realise that the Trust is also custodian of a vast Archive holding a priceless collection of documents and photographs that tell the story of the British motor industry.
It is not only about cars, but also sheds light on the social and industrial history of the 20th Century.  It has particular value for the local communities of Birmingham, Coventry and Oxford, each once dominated by motor manufacturing and its factories.
