 56th Standard International Rally

Cheltenham Chase Hotel,

Friday 19th June to Sunday 21st June 2015

The biggest Standard event of the year!

Our International Rally is taking place in the Cotswolds over the Midsummer weekend this year. Everyone is welcome to join the event for one two or three days.

The event starts on Friday 19th June at Toddington Station in Gloucestershire, where we can ride on a narrow-gauge steam train followed by a road run through lovely countryside to our hotel. There will be a buffet dinner in the evening and a chance to meet old friends and make and new ones. On Saturday we will visit the Jet Age Museum at Staverton and Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park, again using quiet Cotswold lanes and roads. After a chance to relax we’ll enjoy a Gala dinner. Our guest speaker will be Peter Mitchell, OBE.

The main static rally is on Sunday 21st June at Cheltenham Chase. We have arranged an optional coach visit to Gloucester Quays for those wishing to do a bit of shopping! There will be the usual “concours”, members’ spares “bring and buy” sale, raffle, and the rally finishes with the prizes being awarded.

Book through the Standard Motor Club’s webshop to secure a discount: click here to get to the web page, you may need to fill in three forms depending on requirements. . Or post the entry form which was published with the December Standard Car Review to Lynda Homer, SMC Secretary, 43 The Ridgeway, St Albans, AL4 9NR. Enter before 22nd May to ensure your entry is included in the programme. Entries are accepted up to the day of the event. Another copy of the form will appear in the April Review.

All Standard owners and their cars are welcome, as are enthusiasts of other marques in our Open Class. You don’t necessarily need a Concours car to attend, we welcome working cars and restoration projects. If your Standard is not ready then come in another make or a modern car. Other classic car clubs are welcome to join us over the weekend, so tell your friends all about the event.
